WHY

At this time of year, what could be more essential than a cosy, comfortable pair of pyjamas to curl up in. Step forward Dorset-based children’s sleepwear brand Sleepy Doe. Aside from being super-soft (their pyjamas are all made from 100 per cent cotton jersey) in sweet unisex, hand-drawn designs, they are button-free and a lovely snug fit so there is no getting tangled up in the night. Everything is designed and manufactured in a small family-run factory in the UK but what I loved the most is that they wash so brilliantly. As any mum will testify, children’s pyjamas are cleaned with alarming regularity – especially when they are splashed in cereal and milk each morning. My girls’ black and white ‘Swansy’ designs have been worn and washed dozens of times and they still fit neatly and the print hasn’t faded. The brand has also teamed up with a bespoke furniture-maker to create beautiful hand-finished beds and matching bedding too. Definitely worth checking out if you want a good night’s sleep.

GREAT FOR

Fuss-free, tangle-free bedtimes. Free from harmful dyes and made with ecologically-sourced cotton it’s also one for the eco-mums.
